Intermodal Roundtable

The sea cargo is made through the sea and consists of the transfer of people or goods on board a vessel. Currently passenger transport has decreased to almost extinct for long-distance trips, only used for vacation cruises. That is why ships are used mainly for the transport of goods.

There are two modes of maritime transport. The freight transport in freight regime, in which the whole ship is dedicated to this transport full of containers. These transports can be done by bare hull, by trip or by time.
The other modality is the maritime transport on a regular basis with which small charges are made, reducing costs.
The choice of one of the modalities depends on the nature and volume of the load.
